Fat Rabbit – Dallas, TX

Fat Rabbit is not your run-of-the-mill bar food.  Great patio, great food and great people watching.  There is valet parking for a fee.  The inside of the restaurant is dark and chic.  I don’t know what scent they are pumping through the vents but it smelled wonderful.

We started our food adventure with the Picnic Eggs.  This is a great deviled egg.  Creamy and smooth with a bite of mustard and savory prosciutto.

Next, we tried the Margherita Flatbread.  Crust was crispy and chewy.  The sauce was greatness.  Tangy and thick.  Tomatoes were a tad overcooked.  The basil was tasty but sparse.

The Truffled Parmesan Fries were really good.  Not too much truffle oil.  We also enjoyed the Caramelized Brussel Sprouts.  These sprouts will anyone a Brussel sprouts fan! (Sorry no pics…they were gone that fast).

One tip, arrive before 7 PM and you can order from the “7 Items for $7 Until 7 PM menu”.  This is a great deal on the following items: grilled shishito with smoked sea salt, cheese flatbread, beef banh mi sliders, chicken shawarma sliders, carnitas tacos, chicken mole tacos, or deviled eggs on toast.

Until next time…have fun and eat it up!
