Recently, I was invited to try BGR The Burger Joint.  If a great burger is what you are after this is the place.  It is not a one-burger-fits-all joint. There is a burger for every taste.

The Burger is prime, dry-aged beef grilled over a flame.  It is served on a fresh-baked brioche bun made locally at Main Street Bakery with pesticide-free lettuce, tomato, onion, crisp fresh pickles and mojo sauce.  That mojo sauce?  Oh man, it is something!

My favorite was the Triple D.  Oh. My. Goodness.  This was heaven: a beef patty, applewood smoked bacon, grilled jalapeno, cheddar cheese, over easy egg and mojo sauce.  Seriously good, seriously spicy and seriously big.

The Wellington was topped with caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, black truffles and blue cheese.  Though I like all the ingredients individually, together it was too much for me.

The Greek is made with ground leg of lamb, tzatziki, feta cheese, cucumber, red onion, lettuce and tomato.  I am not normally a lamb fan but this was one good burger.  The only thing missing was an olive or two.

Craving some chicken?  The California Club has a skinless chicken breast, swiss cheese, applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mojo.  The chicken was juicy and full of flavor.  What a mouthful!

Is a gobble your game?  The Turkey burger is made infused with portobello mushrooms and gorgonzola.  It was moist, but the spices were not for me.

Not a meat eater?  The Veggie burgers are made fresh in house from a blend of brown rice, black beans, molasses and oats.  This is a great veggie burger.  Full of taste and texture.

For you fish lovers, I recommend the Ahi Tuna burger.  Don’t judge.  This is a delight.  The sushi grade tuna is grilled with pineapple, teriyaki, pickled ginger and mojo.  Yum.

Potatoes?  BGR has ’em: regular, garlic or sweet potato fries.  The onion rings are as big as bracelets.  The grilled asparagus is crispy goodness.

Full yet?  If so, grab a shake to go.  You will be glad you did.  The perfect ending.

A few notes:

  • All the burgers can be made into a lettuce wrap or salad.
  • The Burger can be made into sliders.
  • There is all beef hot dog that rocks.
  • Look for the burger of the month.

No doubt about it BGR The Burger Joint is the place for a great burger.

Until next time…have fun and eat it up!
