Dinner and a Game of Cards

IMG_0186I recently helped my mother host her quarterly dinner and card game. We took the easy way out and had it catered by Chino Chinatown and Chef Uno. First things first, if you haven’t dined at Chino’s you need to. Right away. It is the whole package: fantastic food, inviting atmosphere and exceptional service. Okay, back to the dinner.

We have eaten our way through the entire menu at Chino’s, so narrowing down the dinner choices was not easy. Here is the line up:

Appetizers:
Chicken Lollipops – crispy with a sweet glazeIMG_3342

Crab and Lobster Rangoons –  a new twist with a veggie wonton wrap filled with decadent crab and lobster

Pork Dumplings – fresh and wonderful

Entrees:
Chicken Drunken Noodles – rice noodles, chicken and veggies in a wonderful sauce with a sprinkle of candied peanuts for crunchIMG_2939

Shaken Beef Noodles – quality tenderloin seared with veggies served over garlic butter noodles

Dessert:
Pina Colada Upside Down Cake – moist cake drizzled with a salted rum caramel sauce and topped with berries and brittle

Chef Uno herself delivered the food! She helped us unpack and instructed us on how to assemble the food. The meal was fantastic…as always. Our hats off to Chef Uno.
