A hotel employee recommended the Fish Hopper for dinner.  We were greeted and seated quickly.  The view was beautiful but the restaurant was a tad warm.  Our server was very energetic and friendly.  We ordered the “Award Winning Clam Chowder”.  It was bland, requiring a lot of salt and pepper.  The sourdough rolls were a hit – hot, fresh and fermented.  Next, we ordered our main courses.  My mother wanted the shrimp and crab Louie salad.  Though it wasn’t served on the dinner menu, the server made a request to the the chef and he kindly agreed to make it.  The salad not good.  Again lacking seasoning.  My daughter ordered the evening’s special seafood pasta.  This was a hit.  Nice creamy sauce with seafood and pasta cooked al dente.  I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp.  The salad was served lukewarm.  The romaine was served in whole leaves with the dressing drizzled on top.  The shrimp were not grilled, instead they were teeny tiny bay shrimp with no flavor.

Go for the view and a drink…not the food.
