Spindrift Inn – Monterey, CA

IMG_1067

My daughter, Kate, graduated high school in June.  For her graduation my mother and I took her to Monterey, Carmel and San Francisco.  We had an amazing trip and enjoyed every second of it.

We flew into San Jose, rented a car and drove to Monterey.  We stayed at the Spindrift Inn on Cannery Row.  We were in room 204, a double with ocean view and a fireplace.  The room and inn were beautiful and well-kept.  We slept with the windows open, listening to the sounds of the ocean,  Kate even made a bed in the window seat and slept there.

Spindrift Inn:

Pros: complimentary breakfast served on a silver tray, wine/cheese reception each evening, binoculars, free wi-fi, attentive staff and great location.

Cons: only one elevator, wooden floors can be a bit loud for those on the lower floors
