The Omni Dallas has been on my bucket list for awhile. So to say I was excited for my weekend staycation was an understatement. I was in room 1733 on the 17 floor. The views from the floor-to-ceilings windows of downtown were quite impressive, especially as the sun went down. The room was modern and comfortable. I loved the furnishings and artwork. The artwork in the rooms is created by local artists and, get this, some of the pieces are even available for purchase. I spent my time in the room sitting in the wonderful chairs by the windows and gazing out the windows. They don’t look comfortable but the angled backs make them a perfect chair for sitting. I wish I had some at home! I slept with the window shades open all night to watch the lights. I was so pleased I did because the sunrise was priceless. The entire city glowed. The bed was heavenly!
The Omni is easily accessible by car. Once I checked-in, I left the car parked the rest of the weekend and walked everywhere.
The hotel is home to Mokara Spa. I didn’t have an opportunity to take the pleasure but it has received rave reviews. The pool and fitness center are located on the fourth floor. Both have additional amazing views of the Dallas skyline, including some views not available from the rooms.
The Omni Dallas has impressive dining options as well. I have written them in a separate review here.
Good things:
- light sensors under the nightstand to illuminate your path when it is dark
- in-mirror television in the bathroom
- ample outlets for electronics
- in-room fridge
- gift shop in lobby (but no magazines or newspapers for purchase)
