Three girls, one goal: eat tacos for every meal. Goal met. We started our taco trek at The Market at Dallas Farmers Market. If you haven’t been to The Market you need to give it a try. It is a ginormous indoor food hall including restaurants, food vendors and shopping.
We bellied up to La Popular Tamale House’s stall and ordered. I chose the breakfast taco special: two tacos and a coffee. First up was the bean and cheese on a corn tortilla. The refried beans were yummy with all that ‘bad’ fat you aren’t supposed to eat and melted, stringy cheese. Next, I devoured the chorizo and egg on a flour tortilla. It was just the right ratio of chorizo to egg. Too much chorizo and you have grease running down your arm, to little and what’s the point? Both the salsa verde and spicy red salsa were goodness. I wish I would have had more taco to dip it in.
The next stop on the taco trek was Velvet Taco. Check out the post here.
Until next time…have fun and eat it up!
